This corrosion ultimately leads to the camera's failure.

Owners of affected vehicles can anticipate receiving official notification letters from Honda, with dispatches scheduled to commence in August 2026. This current recall expands upon an earlier campaign that addressed similar issues in 212,068 units from the 2019 and 2020 model years, adding an additional 113,520 vehicles from the 2018 model year to the affected population. To rectify this safety hazard, authorized Honda dealerships will undertake the replacement of the faulty Magna-produced rearview cameras with new units supplied by Sony.
